Your level of love

The Lord Jesus was an example of forgiveness, just as he learned it from the Father, he also transmitted it.

Then Peter came to him and said, "Lord, how many times will my brother sin against me that I should forgive him?" Up to seven times? Jesus said to him: I do not tell you up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven. For this reason, the kingdom of heaven can be compared to a certain king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants.… Matthew 18: 21-23

A question to examine

There is a phrase that says "He who loves a lot, forgives a lot", and this phrase makes us wonder how much do we forgive?

Is it easy or difficult for us? A question so that you and I can measure the level of love in our hearts, sometimes we store old grudges, fights, arguments, abuse etc. etc. and we never check the warehouse (heart) to see if it is overfilled!

A store of love

The Lord's words were so wise, he forgives and forgives a lot, his heart is a store of love, the word itself says that God is love and Jesus is God: He who does not love does not know God, because God is love. 1 John 4: 8

How much do we really know God? Can we forgive as he does, over and over again, seventy times seven? Only love can forgive everything. So much so that the same word tells us:

Above all, love each other very much, because love erases sins. 1 Peter 4: 8

An invitation

God's invitation today is to examine the level of love to forgive, remove old straights and be free from ties that do nothing more than stagnate the spiritual life, God wants you to be free, sometimes we think that by congregating that stored lack of forgiveness blurs before the eyes of God, but it is not like that, it takes confession, repentance followed by forgiveness towards those who offend us in different ways. The word says: If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 4: 9

He will forgive you just like you forgive

And forgive us our sins as we also forgive those who have wronged us. Matthew 6:12

The model of Christ's prayer was in this way "forgive us as we also forgive", this means that in the way that we give ourselves God will give us, we give forgiveness and the heart of God also gives us forgiveness, why? because this means you have love, forgive over and over again, and if you have love then you totally have God!

Today, do not despise the voice of God calling you to forgive those who offend and hurt you, not just once but again and again and again and again! Maybe you will feel difficult and without knowing how to start taking that step, but God will be with you, he has brought you this word to tell you that he teaches you to walk with him and like him.
