Repentance and not your remorse...
Remorse is a feeling of uneasiness and guilt. When we sin, many times we feel guilty before God and that feeling leaves us uneasy, perhaps unable to sleep, pray and even live!
2 Chronicles 7:14
If my people, who bears my name, humble themselves and pray, and seek me out and abandon their misconduct, I will listen to them from heaven, forgive their sin and restore their land.
The word of the Lord says that if we are humble and "give up" our misconduct, then He will listen to us and restore us. With this God refers to "repentance", because it means: feeling for having done an improper action and to amend or repair the damage.
Sometimes sorrow for sin weakens us spiritually, physically and very rarely do we want to abandon that behavior (action) that led us to it,
God wants us to make amends, to repair that damage, to humble ourselves so that he can transform our environment, our life and give us that peace that our soul needs.
Today the Lord tells us: I need your repentance and not your remorse, I need you not only to feel bad for having failed but to get up and not fall back on the same thing over and over again, show me your love by correcting yourself in what in your hands is and I will do the rest!
Your help will come through prayer
There is no sin in the past that God cannot forgive, humble yourself, seek him and be close to him, God will not reject a humble heart, sometimes we think that all others fail, but in reality we do not meditate on what we are failing.
I love the lord
because he hears my pleading voice.
Because he inclines his ear to me,
I will invoke it all my life. Psalm 116: 1-2
Do not be content just to hear the word, for that is how you deceive yourself. Put it into practice. James 1:22
