Go back to your house and "speak"
Go back to your house and "speak"
These words did not mention the Lord to the Gadarene man that had a legion of demons. For years he had been tormented by these, thus living in contempt and desolate and empty places.
The Lord frees him from this legion and the man in gratitude wanted to follow him, maybe he would feel safer being with his liberator, maybe his heart was filled with so much gratitude that he wanted to spend the rest of his life following him, but the Lord only asked him one thing....
"Go home, go back to yours, tell them what God did in your life."
Luke 8:39
Go back to your house, and tell what great things God has done with you. And he went away, publishing throughout the city how great things Jesus had done with him.
Sometimes the only thing the Lord asks is that we speak his word, that we testify, because in this way we give glory to the Father for his power, in this way we show gratitude and exaltation and he deserves it.
The church has forgotten to speak, to count and to spread the wonders of God, for that reason every day it moves further away from God. It reminds us of a man (Nebuchadnezzar) who was exalted based on what God had done in his kingdom and God led him to go crazy and graze like an animal until he raised his eyes again to heaven and recognized that everything came from God , then he said ...
It is convenient that I declare (count) the signs and miracles that the Most High God has done with me.
How great are his signs, and how powerful are his wonders! His kingdom, everlasting kingdom, and his dominion from generation to generation. Daniel 4: 2-3
Sometimes pride prevents us from declaring the signs and wonders of God. It is time for the church to turn to God, to lift up its eyes and acknowledge that everything it has comes from God, his protecting hand in times of sickness, his supplying hand in times of scarcity, his strength in times of weakness. Then we will begin to speak, to spread, to carry his word.
《God wants a humble church because he has the haughty one from afar》
For the Lord is exalted and cares for the humble, but he knows the proud from afar. Psalm 138: 6 (NASB)
Today, the lord tells us to go and talk about the wonders of God. What he has done in your life is worthy of being witnessed, God is worthy of being exalted!
